Community Education Services Kids’ Company Site Leader
Work Schedule:Â 8 hours per day, 12 months (260 days)
Compensation: $24.61Â per hour plus health and dental insurance
TITLE: KIDS’ COMPANY SITE LEADER
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED, required.
- Two years of supervisory experience, required.
- Minimum of two years experience working with young children.
- Demonstrated ability to relate well to children and their families, staff and school personnel.
- Demonstrated team building and organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate or acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Kids’ Company Coordinator and Kids’ Company Assistant Coordinator.
JOB GOALS: To manage a safe, inclusive, and well-organized school age child care program to meet the needs of children, families and the community.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct the supervision of children during program time.
- Lead and support staff in the implementation of daily curriculum, including preparation of materials, maintaining supplies, and offering developmentally appropriate activities and opportunities for children in accordance with the School-Age Child Care (SACC) standards, Kids’ Company program handbooks and district policy.
- Communicate daily with program families regarding observations of their child(ren), sharing and addressing any specific concerns, and requesting support in implementation of accommodations as needed.
- Perform annual staff evaluations as required.
- Maintain records in accordance with SACC standards and district policy.
- Maintain confidentiality of all district children and families.
- Collaborate with district staff when necessary to address needs of a particular child, including but not limited to principals, elementary educators and support persons, special education, etc.
- Communicate with the Kids’ Company Coordinator and/or Kids’ Company Assistant Coordinator on any concerns, accidents, severe injuries, or unusual situations.
- Be available to work all non-school days and early release days.
- Attend all staff meetings, special meetings or events, and staff development activities as requested by the Kids’ Company Coordinator. Complete any required in-service hours.
- Conduct on-site staff meetings, as appropriate.
- Promote teamwork, customer service and a positive image of the program to peers, children, families, school personnel and the community.Â
- Assist the Kids’ Company Coordinator and Kids’ Company Assistant Coordinator in new program development and marketing efforts.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Kids’ Company Coordinator or designee.
