Position:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â KidKare After School Supervisor/Assistant – Part Time
Location:          Community Education – KidKare Positions Available At All Locations Â
Schedule:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 5 Days / Week, 1.5 -3.5 Hours / Day, 12 Months / Year
Hours:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Monday – Friday 2/2:30PM – 4/5:30PMÂ
Beginning:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 11/04/2024 or As Agreed Upon

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and implement age appropriate activities daily.
- Interact directly with the children during all activities, i.e. gym games, outside, sitting with children during meals, art projects, etc.
- Communicate openly, appropriately, and in a positive and effective manner with children, parents, building staff, and other KidKare staff.
- Supervise and mentor the Assistant staff.
- Provide a safe environment, foreseeing potentially dangerous situations, and making decisions regarding treatment of any serious injury/incident.
- Report any activities or actions of children, staff, parents, or building staff that are questionable to the site Lead Supervisor.
- Serve and supervise the children during meals.
- Document all challenging behaviors and report these behaviors to the site Lead Supervisor.
- Have knowledge of all KidKare and district guidelines and policies.Â
- Provide guidance and set consistent boundaries for child behavior.
- Help keep KidKare areas clean and safe for children at all times, including cleaning the rooms at the end of shift as directed.
- Must attend 6 hours of in-service training each year including first aid/CPR training and blood-borne pathogens.
- Be a positive role model for all children.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Assistants:
- Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
- Must enjoy children.
- Supervisors:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.Â
- 120 hours of relevant training and/or 2080 hours work experience in child care or related field.Â
- Knowledge of positive behavior guidance and child development.
- Ability to work as a member of a team and take direction from Lead Supervisor.
- Ability to multi-task and provide active, nurturing care.
- Must enjoy children.
- CPR/First Aid certified.
