Bultum Academy opened in 2022. Since its opening, Bultum has grown to over 200 students in grade PreK-7, with a goal of expanding to 8th grade. Bultum Academy is a school where diversity thrives with multilingual students and families, creating a culturally rich environment. We are STEM-focused, fostering innovation and critical thinking. Our outside partnerships enrich learning experiences, while our dedicated staff ensures academic excellence. Students enjoy half-day Fridays, and teachers engage in professional development, supported by our collaborative and supportive administration and colleagues. Together, we create a welcoming and inclusive learning community for every student and educator.

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PreK Teacher to join our team at Bultum Academy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in elementary education, experience working with diverse student populations, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Utilize research-based instructional strategies and technology tools to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, provide timely feedback, and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in math, science, STEM education, and ELL instruction.
  • Contribute to a positive school culture by actively participating in school-wide events, committees, and initiatives.

Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in elementary education, Physical Education, Kinesiology,  mathematics, science, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification/license in elementary education or relevant subject area, or willingness to obtain licensure.
  • Experience teaching elementary math and science, preferably in a diverse or ELL-enriched environment.
  • Familiarity with instructional technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes equity, diversity, and cultural responsiveness.
