POSITION:            Intensive Behavioral Support Technician
BUILDING:            District Wide

POSITION SUMMARY:
Support the day to day work of the Behavior Assistance Team (BAT) including collecting and synthesizing data and conducting student/classroom observations.  This position will assist with district programming and projects to support students with disabilities.  
 
 
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assist in designing and shaping behavioral interventions for staff and student
  2. Support consultation to building teams including student observations and data collection.
  3. Collect and synthesize behavior data.
  4. Assist with district programming and projects for students with disabilities
  5. Support learning of new strategies in buildings through model teaching and coaching.
  6. Knowledge, awareness and training on MN statutes as it relates to behavior and restrictive procedures
  7. Maintain data privacy, student files, and required district paperwork as it relates to individual student needs.
  8. Other duties as assigned

 
JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
     
Required:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in education, behavior sciences, social work, psychology, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  2. Effective written and oral communication
  3. Experience working with challenging behavior
  4. Ability to travel between sites as needed.
  5. Ability to utilize technology to support day to day job functions.
  6. Prompt, regular, and reliable attendance.
  7. Crisis intervention training.
  8. Demonstrates appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.
