Job Title:  Industrial Technology Teacher – Middle School (1.0 FTE)

Job Description:  Candidates will teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in courses designed to give students hands-on experience in problem-solving, teamwork, and project-based learning.  This position commences with the 2024-2025 school year on Monday, August 19, 2024.

Faribault Middle School is seeking passionate and exceptional teachers who will cultivate academic excellence within a supportive learning environment. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly successful technology program with a community that is technology-driven.  ISD #656 has a growing program establishing student pathways in engineering, and manufacturing career fields as local and regional demands for skilled labor significantly increase. This position is responsible for industrial technology classes with the ability to develop and/or change the curriculum.

Qualifications:  Candidates must possess a MN Dept. of Education teaching license in Industrial Arts, or STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math)  Experience related to the field of Industrial Arts and/or Gateway programming is preferred but not required.
