Indigenous Studies Coordinator

Northome School is seeking an Indigenous Studies Coordinator for the 2024-2025 school year.  The Indigenous Studies Coordinator advocates for and communicates the needs of American Indian students in the district. This position also works to facilitate appropriate educational programming.

The Indigenous Studies Coordinator works with American Indian students and families to facilitate, advocate and communicate their needs. The Indigenous Studies Coordinator implements, accesses and provides a means of evaluation for the American Indian Education program while identifying and partnering with community and American Indian resources. 

Required qualifications include High School degree or higher, knowledge of American Indian history, culture, and sovereignty and issues pertaining to the educational needs of American Indian youth.
