The Human Resources Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and implementing HR strategies, processes, and policies. This individual will be responsible for overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and employee development. The HR Manager will work closely with leadership to align HR initiatives with the overall goals and values of Morris Area Schools.

    Lead recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for a variety of positions. Ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding process for new hires.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance employee skills and support career growth.
  • Manage employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness in the market and alignment with Morris Area Schools.
  • Stay updated on labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure company policies are compliant and best-in-class.
  • Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Foster a positive work culture through employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention strategies.

    Experience in human resources, with a strong background in employee relations, recruitment, and performance management.

  • Experience in Google and other HR programs preferred.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

    Salary range $26 to $29 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
