HIGH SCHOOL MATH EDUCATOR
Fairmont Area Schools is seeking passionate, student-centered candidates for a Math Instructor at the Jr./Sr. High School for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. Fairmont Area School District is located in Fairmont, Minnesota on I-90. “The City of Lakes” has a population of roughly 10,500 and attracts many professionals for the manufacturing, service and agriculture related careers. Fairmont takes great pride in their public school and has repeatedly supported the district and the staff. This partnership makes living and working in the community a special setting where individual efforts can create impactful and sustainable change.
Fairmont Area Schools serves about 1,800 students preK-12th grade in Fairmont and the surrounding area. Many families choose to open-enroll to Fairmont due to our committed staff, robust programing and quality facilities. Graduating classes are roughly 140 students per year and classroom sizes are in the twenties. The professionals who work at Fairmont Areas Schools are committed to researching, implementing and refining research-based best practices for the betterment of the student experience. Fairmont Jr./Sr. High School Mathematics department has an innovative and inquiry-based approach focused on fostering a love of mathematics, the application of key concepts to real-world problems, and the capacity to communicate using content specific vocabulary, instead of memorizing facts. Our Math educators are committed to developing analytical thinking in our students by incorporating discussion strategies into the lesson design.
