High Need for Math and English Teachers – Summer Credit Recovery Teacher – High School

Program Description:  
The Summer High School Credit Recovery Program utilizes the Edgenuity digital learning platform to offer a self-paced learning experience to students with the instructional support of a classroom teacher.  The role of the teacher in this model is focused on coaching and providing targeted instruction to students versus whole group daily instruction in a traditional classroom model.  

Position Description:  
High School Credit Recovery Teachers (high need for Math and English Teachers) facilitate student learning in a lab setting by instructing, coaching, and encouraging students through digital APEX courses.    Teachers may be required to facilitate multiple courses at the same time.  

Pay Rate $32/hr.

Program Dates:
June 19th through July 27th. 
No Programming July 3rd – 6th.

Program Times:
AM Session 8:00 am – 11:00 AM
PM Session 11:30 am – 2:30 PM 

Required Qualifications:

• Teaching license issued from state of Minnesota in area of instruction.
• Understanding of working with at risk and/or struggling learners
• A commitment to student success
• Ability to form relationships with students and families in a short period of time
• Belief system (demonstrated in words and actions) that all students can learn and be successful

• Accountability and reliability
