Hallway Monitor

Eagle Ridge Academy is a Tuition-Free Classical, College-Preparatory Charter School serving students and families in grades K-12.  Eagle Ridge offers an academically rigorous education that uses a time-tested, Classical, liberal arts curriculum.
 
Eagle Ridge Academy seeks a well-spoken individual with a gift for elementary school teaching who is passionate about the mission, philosophy, and pedagogy of Eagle Ridge Academy.  Qualified applicants will have the ability to develop positive rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.  They will have knowledge of particular learning styles along with the skill to meet the academic, social, and emotional growth needs of elementary-aged children.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor hallways, stairwells, restrooms, outside facilities, and other public and unsupervised places of the school to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff and the security of the facility.
• Ensures that students comply with school rules and communicates with students to monitor behavior while in the hallways.
• Report conflicts between students to the appropriate administrator when necessary.
• Report any discipline infractions, unauthorized visitors, and acts of vandalism to the Principal or appropriate administrator.
• Promote attitudes of student responsibility and assists the staff with the safety of the students and staff and security of the facilities.
• Supports the school district in ensuring a safe and orderly environment by monitoring the hallways and the students while maintaining confidentiality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by their supervisor, Principal or designee and not otherwise prohibited by law or regulation.
• Enforcing uniform violations and cell-phone use violations in the hallways.
