Hours Per Day:Â 8 hours:
- Grounds – Primarily 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Hours may vary to cover High School events (football games, etc.)
- Custodial – Primarily 2:30/3:30 PM to 11:00 PM/12:00 AM. Site of work will vary nightly according to needs of the district. Need may change daily.

Salary:Â B21 according to the Custodian Work Agreement with a range of $19.82-$21.66Â per hour.
Supervisor of Position: Â Â Grounds lead/William Dial
Qualifications:  Grounds and/or custodial experience preferred. Requires the ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time; push/pull while lifting up to 50 pounds; ability to communicate in a positive manner with the general public and building staff. Must have, or have the ability to obtain a boilers license with in 6 months
Summary of Grounds and Custodial Duties: Â
- Grounds maintenance
- Operation of equipment such as toolcat, field drags, lawnmowers, field liners, and weed whips
- Care of equipment, including cleaning, maintaining, grease, sharpen blades, etc.
- Set up and take down equipment at schools
- Landscaping and maintain playground equipment
- Mowing and trimming
- Line fields, maintain fields and parking lots
- Remove or trim trees
- Run and maintain irrigation systems
- Fertilize fields/spray for weed control
- Clean up grounds
- Hours may vary according to work
- All other duties as assigned
Summary of Custodial Duties
- Knowledge and experience in modern cleaning procedures and practices including floor care, restroom cleanliness, and other general areas.
- Ability to do light repair and maintenance tasks (repair of desks, chairs, and other furniture, replacement of bulbs, etc.)
- Site will vary according to need
- All other duties as assigned
Positions 1,020 hours or more per year are benefit eligible
