Description
In this internship, individuals will learn and enhance customer service and clerical duties in the Adult Programs area at the District Program Center in Cottage Grove. This position will allow the candidate to build confidence, increase problem-solving skills and build communication skills. This includes duties to support: Adult Education, Adults with Disabilities, Adult Enrichment and Programs for Senior Citizens. The intern will receive practical work experience by a supervisor/instructor; on-the-job training in a fast-paced team environment, along with constructive feedback for personal and professional development. The candidate will also learn basic productivity software, digital communication literacy skills which include: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, and Student Information Databases.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assist students, staff, and participants in various ways, including:

Reminder Calls

Greeting upon arrival

Communication via phone, email and in-person

Provide support, which may include:

Scanning
-
Printing
-
Setting areas for programing
-
Printing and delivering rosters
-
Assisting with various classes and events
-

Maintain confidentiality and data privacy for employees and students.

Support Marketing efforts
-
Managing and distributing books/tech/supplies to students

Treats students and staff with fairness and equity. Understands and supports students and staff with varying cultural, ethnic, sexual orientation, religious, and/or language backgrounds.
