Our Surad teaching team is tasked with leading students through an active learning journey that meets children at their current level and then builds the foundation from which they can soar. Rather than worksheets and textbooks, our students learn from games, experiments, technology, and rigorous intellectual discussion that stimulate their enjoyment while challenging their brains.

Description

Surad Academy is a K-6th grade public charter school, located in Faribault, Minnesota.
Surad Academy’s mission is to prepare students for success by developing the academic and life skills they need to thrive. We do this with our academic and Life Skills curricula, which track student mastery so that everyone gets what they need to thrive. 

The positions begin on August 15 , 2024.

Qualifications:

  1. Must have at least a high school diploma.

  2. Paraprofessional certification is required or must be obtained immediately.

Position Description:

  • Support students in managing their emotions effectively.

  • Supervise students during non-instructional times such as before school, morning and afternoon breaks, and lunch periods.

  • Manage student behavior by promoting problem-solving skills and encouraging self-regulation.

  • Assist students with their academic assignments within the classroom setting.

  • Supervise breakfast and lunch periods?

  • Provide care for sick or injured students and administer medications when required.

  • Assist teaching staff by making necessary copies of materials.

  • Support field trips by providing assistance as needed.

  • Participate in required in-service training sessions.

Background Check Upon Conditional Offer: 

Background checks are conducted upon receiving a conditional offer. Employees must complete a background check. A passing background is required. 

Pay Rate:
Starting at $19-$20 per hour depending on experience
