General Education Instructional Assistant – 30 Day Assignment

Qualifications/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED is required.
Successful background check is required.

Prefer experience working with children.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Patience, flexibility, maintains confidentiality, teamwork, self-starter, takes direction easily, excellent communication skills, behavior management skills, aid students in the classroom.

Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self-discipline, and honesty. 

Specific Tasks:
Help promote positive interactions. Supervise students and develop a good rapport with them.  Work in a kindergarten classroom to assist with student classroom tasks and support.

In addition:

• Document and communicate student behaviors
• Support students with classwork and assignments
• Maintain consistent and clear expectations for students within and outside of the classroom including recess and specials classes
• Work cooperatively with classroom teacher, administration, counselor, and social worker
• Other duties as assigned by administration

Hours Per Day:
6.25 hours/day

7:15 am -2:00 pm

Assignment length- appx. 30 days 
As per contract
