Independent School District No. 317, Deer River, Minnesota, is currently accepting applications for the following position:

 
FULL-SERVICE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS MANAGER
Full-time; Year Round
 

Position Description:
The FSCS Grant Manager will monitor and review existing grants. They will review goals and track progress of the grant. The manager will monitor the budget and manage ordering and recording budget expenditures. The grant manager will interact with grant funding organizations. The grants manager will work with the business office to complete required reports and monitor compliance. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the FSCS relationship with the U.S. Department of Education’s Full Service Community Schools program officer
  • Develop and submit required reports
  • Manage the budget and approval processes
  • Monitor local, state, and federal grants facilitated by the Full Service Community School
  • Educate internal and external partners on project responsibilities and procedures
  • Manage a positive relationship with ISD #317 staff and teachers
  • May serve on a leadership team or consult with district/school administration
  • Coordinate the integration of services including referrals for families and children with other full service staff
  • Work closely with the school coordinators to identify and maintain records for students and families served
  • Ensure sustainability by leveraging existing resources and developing new resources
  • Participate in the recruitment and management of partnerships with community-based organizations, government agencies, and ISD 317 central administration offices
  • Assists FSCS Manager in preparing data driven quarterly reports addressing all components of the FSCS program in ISD #317, and present them at quarterly meetings of the Advisory Committee
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in the education or health care fields desirable
  • Experience managing large projects and/or strategic relationships
  • Experience working with community organizations, especially in communities with diverse and low-income populations
  • Experience working with indigenous communities is preferred.
  • Experience with monitoring grants 
  • Ability to track budget and expenses 
  • Grant writing experience

  • Organizational skills 
  • High level of personal responsibility and drive towards ambitious goals

  • Valid MN Driver’s License

 
Salary:
