Position Overview:

  • Days: 5 days a week, 180 days per year
  • Work shifts are typically as follows: 10:15 AM-2:00 PM (3.75); 8:15 AM – 2:00 PM (5.75) and 7:00 AM-2:30 PM (7.5);  Applicants may specify the hours per day in which they are interested. Options are 3.75, 5.75 or 7.5 hours per day 
  • Building assignments may be at elementary schools, middle schools, or the high school. Those working 7.5 hours/day may be assigned to work at 1 or more schools each day. Applicants may identify at which schools they prefer to work. Management has the right to assign buildings based on the needs of the department. 
  • Start Date: 12/1//23 or negotiable with the candidate 
  • Compensation/benefits: Per Unit Agreement, plus mileage between assigned school buildings if working at more than 1 school per day

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing food to be served to students by complying with all applicable sanitation and health standards and following established food production programs and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Within 90 days of hire: 
    • Food Service Associates must obtain Level 1 Certification from School Nutrition Association by completing 2 free online courses 
    • Assistant Food Service Managers must obtain Level 3 Certification from School Nutrition Association by completing or submitting applicable coursework
    • Food Service Managers must obtain Level 4 Certification from School Nutrition Association by completing or submitting applicable coursework
