Family and Consumer Science (FCS) Teacher

Qualifications/Experience:
Minnesota teaching license, Home Economics/Family Consumer Science license.
Energy, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching students about family consumer sciences. 
Experience in Creative Foods, Food for Singles, and Food for Families is preferred.
?Successful background check required. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Thorough knowledge of subject(s) taught;  thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching;  ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior; ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students and parents.

Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty. 

Specific Tasks:
Provide effective instruction using whole group and small group instruction, report student progress, and participate in a variety of professional development opportunities.

Hours Per Day:
7.5 hours/day
As per contract
