Farmington Public Schools is seeking outstanding candidates for the position of Enrichment And Programs Coordinator for Community Education.
240 days per year.  40 hours per week.
 

Job Summary: Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of youth enrichment programs geared primarily to school aged youth.  Build Strong partnerships within the schools and community.

Essential Functions of the Job include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate Community Education Youth Athletic programming, including gymnastics and competition cheerleading programs and staff.
  • Coordinate Community Education afterschool, evening and summer youth enrichment classes and camps – Sports, Summer Bands, Theatre, STEM, Art and other courses.
  • Recruit, train and manage program directors, supervisors and instructors responsible for providing youth enrichment opportunities.  
  • Research, develop, implement, and evaluate new programming, as well as making recommendations for current program improvement.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring for youth enrichment employees.
  • Provides oversight and updating to program processes and policies.
  • Oversee risk management, training and safety needs of the youth programs.
  • Maintain and develop strong ties with community leaders, PreK-12, and community organizations to facilitate collaboration with youth initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain budgets for Youth Enrichment, Competitive Cheerleading, and Gymnastics Programs.
  • Market and cross market community education programming.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, recreation, human services, communication, or related field preferred.
  • Three years experience in the development and implementation of enrichment and/or athletic programming.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and public relations skills with experience in conflict resolution.
  • Proven leadership skills with both youth and adults.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to successfully manage multiple programs/projects.
  • Experience managing and supervising program staff, volunteers, and students.
  • Ability to be open to new ideas and create programs that serve the learners of the community.
  • Ability to plan a budget, manage finances, prioritize tasks, and work on multiple projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
  • Strong technology skills (MS Office, google suite, social media and ability to learn registration software).

Salary range is $58,900-$69,916  based on experience.
