Part-Time English Teacher High School

Description

Hancock Public School has a two hour per day English vacancy at the high school level starting with the 2024-25 school year.  Candidates must be licensed to teach English classes.

Hancock is a small, friendly community of approximately 800 residents located in West Central Minnesota.  Hancock Public Schools is a financially sound district, and thanks to strong support and involvement from the community, and a committed staff, our student population continues to grow.  Candidates interested in the position must:
 

  1. Utilize best practice teaching strategies including differentiated instruction.
  2. Have a strong background in technology including the use of SMART Boards, I-Pods/I-Pads, Chromebooks, and laptops in the classroom.
  3. Be creative and forward thinking.
  4. Be skilled at meeting the diverse needs of all learners.
  5. Be knowledgeable in the use of data to differentiate and drive instruction.
  6. Be outgoing and community minded.  Willingness to invite/involve parents and community members in the classroom is a must.
  7. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Enjoy working as a collaborative team member in a K-12 setting.
  9. Possess appropriate MN teaching license.
