About Kasson-Mantorville Schools:   We are located between the cities of Kasson and Mantorville.  Kasson is the home of a vibrant downtown district and Mantorville is known for its historic presence in SE Minnesota.  The communities are fifteen minutes from downtown Rochester, the Mayo Clinic and IBM home, and approximately one hour south of the Twin Cities.

 

 Kasson-Mantorville is a growing school district of 2,100 students with numerous co-curricular and extracurricular programs and club opportunities. 
 

**Qualifications:**

– Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken).

– High school diploma or equivalent. 

– Strong communication skills in both languages.

– Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students.

**Job Summary:**

The Bilingual Paraprofessionals are crucial in supporting bilingual students, their families, and teachers within our school. This position requires fluency in Spanish, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for helping students succeed. The Bilingual Paraprofessional will collaborate closely with ELL teachers to facilitate effective communication and provide essential support in the school environment.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Bilingual Support:** 

   – Assist bilingual students in the classroom, ensuring they have access to educational materials and support.

   – Facilitate communication between teachers, students, and parents who may not be fluent in both languages.

   – Translate classroom materials and communications as needed.

 

2. **Student Assistance:**

   – Provide one-on-one or small group support to bilingual students, reinforcing lessons and helping with assignments.

   – Help students with language acquisition and literacy skills.

   

3. **Collaboration:**

   – Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and other staff members to support student success.
