The Richfield Public School District is currently accepting applications for a full time 12 month Engineer to assume delegated responsibility and accountability for the maintenance and operations of the senior high school HVAC, pneumatic, electrical, and plumbing systems; boilers; pumps; and mechanical equipment related to the steam and hot water heating systems in a manner that helps ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment throughout the senior high facility.

Requirements:

  • High School or GED equivalent and five years’ experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of HVAC, pneumatic, electrical and plumbing systems and related mechanical equipment in a public school comparable to the Richfield senior high school.
  • State of Minnesota Chief Class C boiler licensure is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the development and implementation of comprehensive preventive maintenance programs.
  • Sufficient basic knowledge of electricity and plumbing to perform all responsibilities of this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly and correctly diagnose malfunctioning or defective systems or equipment and take the most appropriate corrective actions.
  • Demonstrated strength and stamina to perform all the physical lifting and moving of equipment, materials and supplies as required in this position.

Salary range: $23.76-$28.45 per hour
