Job Summary:Â To provide extra educational assistance beyond the regular classroom to students in grades K-5 who need to significantly improve their academic performance to meet standards in reading and mathematics.
Crookston Public Schools is seeking Elementary Reading and Math Interventionist, 1.0 FTE, starting January 2025. This position would primarily be working with elementary grades and focus heavily on reading and math skills. Candidate must have current Minnesota Teaching license, or be anticipating one before January 2025.  Candidate must possess good communication skills and be able to organize instruction using learning objectives with clearly defined student outcomes. This position will provide a variety of instructional techniques and methods that are appropriate to individual student abilities and promote high levels of achievement. This person must maintain a cooperative relationship with administration, staff, students and parents, and must maintain appropriate records of student performances.Â
Crookston, MN is located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota and has a population of approximately 7,800. Agriculture is a very strong part of our community.  University of Minnesota-Crookston campus is located here and is a very strong member and supporter of our community. Located just 25 miles east of Grand Forks, ND, we are close to the University of North Dakota, ample shopping, dining, an international airport and more.  District enrollment size is approximately 1150 students. There are currently 4 sections per grade, with approximately 80 students per grade. Competitive Salary and excellent benefits would follow the Crookston Education Assn.
