Qualifications:
- MN Teaching License
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 5 years teaching experience
Skills Required:
- Ability to provide timely, collaborative learning experiences that build instructional capacity and efficacy resulting in sustained change in practice.
- Ability to provide foundational professional learning for instructional priorities and provide differentiated support based on each teacher or team’s context.
- Successful experience in facilitating high-quality professional learning and outcomes through application.
- Advanced knowledge of effective instructional practices, including for language learners
- Superior listening, communications and organization skills, including while applying technology tools.
- A commitment to personal professional learning and development through a strong understanding of literature related to education, student learning, and leadership.
- The ability to manage dialog effectively, valuing alternative points of view in planning and decision-making.
- Courage to do what is best for students.
- The ability to effectively and empathetically manage and lead change, including changing practices and structures in our school system that may perpetuate inequities based on race and class.
- Social perceptiveness and strong people skills
Responsibilities:Â
- Providing coaching, co-teaching and training that helps teachers build their computer science skills, instruction of computer science skills, and integration of computer science concepts into their instruction and core content areas.
- Informing design, implementation, and improvement of immersion program for computer science at their designated sites including logistics, communications, and professional development
- Informing design thinking and makerspace programming district wide
- Continually learning and researching current best practices of effective computer science instruction and educational programming across k-12
- On a regular basis collaborate with building administration on program needs, progress and professional development.
- Develop communication to families & community about CS Immersion at the site.
