 EL Student Advocate

Location:
 Kennedy High School

Effective Date:
  ASAP

Hours:
   7.0 hours per day
   5 days per week
   180 days per year

Salary:
  Student Advocate pay starting at $26.34/hr
 

Required Education:
   Two years post-secondary education
   3-5 years’ experience

Required Experience:

  •    Experience working with high school students in and out of the classroom
  •    Must have experience with conflict resolution
  •    Must be professional and possess a flexible attitude
  •    Ability to build and sustain relationships with students and families
  •    Spanish speaking preferred

Responsibilities:

  •    Provide academic support to the EL programs, teachers and students.
  •    Working with a large, diverse population
  •    Assist students in goal setting and academic planning
  •    Promote positive partnerships between students, families and staff
  •    Ensure a positive learning environment for all students
