Essential Job Functions – Site Level (SAVHS):
-
Co-Lead with principal –Â building level, team level, and department level support in all areas of Effective Instruction (Core Four – Standards, Essential Learning Targets, Learning Progressions, Performance Task).
-
Lead and evaluate professional development in all areas of Effective Instruction at assigned buildings. Â
-
Ensure alignment at designated building for each of the following aspects of Effective Instruction:Â

Rigor (Core Four)

RelevanceÂ
-
Relationships
-
Curriculum development – horizontal and vertical alignment
-
Assessments (to Standard level of Depth of Knowledge)
-
Instructional Guides match rigor and relevance and all levels of Learning Progressions.

Data assessments and analysis – for teacher/department/team consumption.
-
-
Work directly with Departments and Teams (an entire building) on developing Effective Instruction.Â
-
Work as a district level team with other Coordinators and Director of Effective Instruction.
-
Ensure work created for building work is aligned with District Effective Instruction requirements.
-
Support the work with Data Teams at the site level to analyze student level data to make instructional decisions in the classroom.Â
-
Support the work with Data Teams and Student Assistance Teams to ensure MTSS interventions/enrichments are provided and monitored.Â
-
Work as a thought partner with building level administrators when planning aligned professional development.
-
Direct contact for Instructional Coach consultants at the building.Â
-
Present to the school board, administration, community, and other organizations.
-
Attend school-based staff meetings, leadership meetings, and all required District Level meetings.

Work with Director and Coordinator of Athletics and Activities to ensure alignment with Effective Instruction.Â

Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesÂ

Minimum five years of successful teaching experienceÂ

Experience leading professional development
-
Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues.

Demonstrated leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills, including giving and receiving constructive feedback.Â
-
Proven ability to use student-level data to guide instructional decisions.
-
Strong knowledge in pedagogy – specifically – Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships.Â
-
Demonstrated ability expertise in oral and written communication.
-
Demonstrated knowledge in Athletics and Activities.Â
Â
Qualifications:
-
Masters degree in education, educational leadership, or equivalent.
-
Minnesota Teaching Licensure
-
Preferred – Administrative Licensure
-
Preferred – Math and or Reading expertise
-
Previous coaching and/or teaching leadership experiences
-
Ability to design and deliver quality professional development for adult learners.
-
Secondary Emphasis – Prefered
FTE: 1.0Â
Contract: Coordinator Level
Pay Range: $80,000-$100,000
Reports To: Director of Effective Instruction and Building Level Principals
