POSITION AVAILABLE:  Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (ECSE Teacher) Part-time
 
POSITION LOCATION:  Southwest West Central Service Cooperative (SWWC) with placement in the Lester Prairie school district.
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  The Early Childhood Special Education Teacher provides direct services to early childhood special education students.
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:   Plans and implements educational services. Conducts appropriate interventions and assists parent’s in-home facilitation. Provides comprehensive developmental evaluation and/or screening for children referred for services.  Communicates with district administrative staff and other district staff as appropriate about students served, progress and emerging issues. Communicates with outside agencies and collaborative services for children, as appropriate and on an individual basis.   Facilitates a transition plan to preschool when child is ready. Conducts and maintains appropriate due process documentation related to screening, evaluations, and services for young children with disabilities.  Adheres to all due process procedures and compliance requirements.  Performs other duties as assigned.  These services may take place either onsite or with a tele-practice model.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor’s Degree required with Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) licensure from MN Department of Education.  Valid driver’s license also required.
 
CONTRACT/SALARY: 0.2 FTE (37 day) contract for the 2024-2025 school year.  Excellent salary depending upon education, qualifications, and experience; includes benefits. Position to begin immediately.
