Job DescriptionÂ
We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Programs Teaching Assistant to join our team in the role of Noon Duty Assistant. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our young students during lunchtime and outdoor activities.
Â
Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor students while the teacher is on break.

Ensure a safe and inclusive environment where students can engage in play and social interactions.

Assist students with transitions between activities and locations.

Support classroom teachers and staff during lunch periods as needed.

Help maintain cleanliness and organization of lunch and play areas.

Respond promptly to student needs and behavior, ensuring positive interactions and conflict resolution when necessary.

Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework in early childhood education is a plus.

Previous experience working with young children in a structured setting is preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with young children.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Additional information:
The starting rate of pay is $17.03. The rate of pay is subject to change based on the bi-annual review of the school board. Hours are Monday – Friday 11:00-12:45.
