Position: Early Learning Coordinator

Summary:Â This position will provide support for the Office of Early Learning.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Teaching License in Early Childhood or Early Childhood Special Education
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum of three years of experience working in an educational setting in a leadership role, preferably with early childhood programs
- Demonstrated experience providing work direction and supervision of adult staff
- Inter-cultural competency with excellent human relations skills and experience working with diverse children and families
- Knowledge of best practice and quality standards in early childhood programs
- Excellent communication, organization, collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with technology
- Â Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Skilled in managing multiple, priorities and programs simultaneously.
- Â Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet program needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Administrative License or Master’s Degree in related field preferred
Responsibilities:
- Assist with providing daily work direction to Early Learning staff.
- Provide direction to and assist with supervision of the Early Learning Clerical staff.
- Assist Early Learning Administrators with planning and facilitating staff meetings and professional development.
- Assure all Early Learning daily vacancies are covered by substitutes.
- Assist Early Learning Administrators with interviewing and hiring open positions.
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate non-licensed staff.
- Assist with outreach efforts and special events.
- Act as the District liaison for the Early Childhood Advisory Council.
- Plan and facilitate weekly Pupil Needs Committee meetings.
