Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with special needs.
- Provide a developmentally appropriate and inclusive learning environment for children with diverse abilities.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Assess children’s progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities.
- Support classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and create a positive and safe environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in early childhood special education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- State certification in Early Childhood Special Education (or equivalent, as required by state regulations).
- Experience working with young children with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and special education practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain positive relationships with families and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with behavior intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
