Description
Carry out intervention strategies as directed by professional staff with individual students and in small groups; organize classroom and individual instruction materials; assist in meeting physical needs of pre-school age students, including moving, lifting, diapering, positioning, toileting, etc.; participate in team planning meetings and other duties as assigned by staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience:
- Two (2) years post-secondary education OR a passing ParaPro Score.
- One (1) year of experience working with children.
- OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Â
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
- Driver’s license.
Â
Candidates are required to have at least two years post-secondary training. Qualified applicants will possess the following: experience working with preschool age children with disabilities; ability to carry out teacher designed interventions with students with significant disabilities, and the ability to function cooperatively and flexibly on a team.

Must be able to respond to developmental and specific health care needs such as toileting, catheterization, lifting and feeding.

Salary: Per the Paraprofessional Union Contract Class V $20.33, or above; DOE.
