Pearson Early Learning Center is searching for an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher – 1.0 FTE, Long Term Sub (LTS) – to join the team immediately and likely through the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

Job Summary:
Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to provide case management and early childhood developmental skills services in inclusive classroom and special education classroom settings. Responsible for delivering direct and indirect services to students with cognitive, social-emotional and behavioral needs; ability to monitor and document student progress; ability to develop/manage IEPs and facilitate team meetings; ability to oversee paraprofessionals and collaborate with families and other staff on services and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • MN licensure in Early Childhood Special Education or willingness and ability to achieve an Out of Field Placement (OFP)
  • Prior teaching experience preferred
  • Experience with both inclusion and center-based programming
  • Experience with the Pyramid Model
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents, and staff

Working Conditions:
Preschool classroom environment that includes physical ability to lift, push, pull, stand, sit on the floor. Ability to attend to the personal care needs of students, if necessary. Office conditions to include sitting and keyboarding.
