Qualifications/Experience:
Minnesota Administrative License, K-12 principal or Director of Special Education preferred.
Previous experience in special education leadership preferred. 
Successful background check required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Knowledge and ability to successfully implement the following initiatives: Marzano frameworks, intervention programs, special education programming. 
Data driven decision making. 
The ability to collaborate in a professional and personal manner. 
Positive and encouraging leadership style.

Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty. 
 
Specific Tasks:
Supervision of special education programming at the Early Childhood level. 

Working closely with Early Childhood SpEd teams by providing oversight to programming, behaviors, and due process. 
Staffing, budgeting, and daily managerial tasks.
Performs complex professional work developing and maintaining an effective educational program consistent with state and federal guidelines and the philosophy, policies and goals of the School Board, ensuring student and staff safety and related work as apparent or assigned. 
Work involves setting policies and goals under the direction of the office of the Superintendent and programming in conjunction with the Director of Student Support Services. 
Continuous supervision is exercised over all personnel within the programs. 
 
Hours Per Day:
200 days per year
