Assignment: 
Various substitute hours available, including late afternoon and Saturdays

$22.00 minimum hourly rate

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct screening in accordance with state mandates and practices, including vision, hearing, development, social-emotional and speech using screening tools.
  2. Consult with screening staff regarding child development.
  3. Be familiar with all district and community programs and services for families with young children.  Monitor current resource materials for screening sites.
  4. Be familiar with state statutes and practices of Early Childhood Screening. Attend required training for use of screening tools and practices.
  5. Record and maintain accurate screening results including referrals to local agencies.
  6. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

 
Job Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Education (Early Childhood, Elementary, Special Education) or Psychology.
  2. Licensure in Early Childhood, Special Education, School Psychologist, or Elementary.
  3. Knowledge of Early Childhood development.
  4. Evidence of ability to work collaboratively.
  5. Evidence of willingness to abide by confidentiality policy and practice of the district.
  6. Excellent communication skills and positive interpersonal skills (relate well to children and adults) as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
