Position:Â Due Process Clerk – Grade IVÂ
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 hours per day, 10 month
Start Date: TBD
Pay:Â Starting pay is $19.25 –Â $21.89 per hour dependent on qualifications.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of relevant clerical experience
- Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills including word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs
- Highly organized and flexible
- Skilled in prioritizing tasks, multi-tasking, and record-keeping
- Self-motivated with the ability to function with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel between sitesÂ
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- Experience in a K-12 school environment
Responsibilities:
- The Student Services Due Process Clerk will support the work of the Special Education departments in schools through customer, clerical, and due process support.
- Assist IEP case managers with the scheduling of IEP team meetings; manage and maintain the building special education timeline electronic calendar. Manage room assignments for meetings and/or testing with front office staff.
- Maintain the building special education master caseload spreadsheet; regularly inform IEP case managers of current status of caseload (timelines).
- Maintain special education files:Â
- Monitor file for appropriate due process content, ensuring inclusion of all due process documents. Maintain them in chronological order.
- Monitor checkout procedure; maintain access log.
- Prepare files for transition to another program or building within the district.Â
- Send inactive files to the DEC Student Services office for archiving.
- Document information in the team communication log
- Assist in requesting and acquiring school records for students new to the district; at minimum:Â
- Current IEP
- Current ESR
- Current Progress Report
- Current Prior Written Notice
- Disseminate due process correspondence and paperwork in accordance with Pupil Data Privacy regulations and procedures.Â
- Participate in scheduled Due Process Clerk meetings and trainings.
- Begin Sped Forms due process record by picking up the record and/or adopting the existing IEP.
- Collaborate with district support staff to ensure due process is complete.Â
- Process documents, complete filing, finalizing and mailings of required documents.
- Experience with special education due process paperwork and requirements
