Director of Technology

Eden Prairie is a school district with over 1,400 employees serving approximately 9,100 students. The district is recognized for its quality initiatives and its leadership in educational programming.  

Position Qualifications:
Education/Certification: 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
• 5 years experience working in technology will be considered for candidates who do not possess a Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years experience leading and managing a large technology team
• Demonstrated technical expertise through certifications and training

Experience: 

• Demonstrated knowledge of hardware, software, and IT systems management. 
• 5 years of enterprise technology management experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge in information security and data privacy.
• Demonstrated experience as a leader in the evaluation and implementation of emerging technology solutions.

Qualifications: 

• Strong organizational and managerial skills.
• Demonstrated communication skills including writing, speaking, and listening.
• Ability to collaborate with others, including informing others of decisions and events.
• Experienced team builder and collaborator.
• Ability to resolve conflict.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and/or individuals.

 
Position reports to:                      Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education
Starting Salary:                           $137,116 – $141,116 Based on experience and qualifications

Director of Technology Salary and Benefit Package*

Salary/year
$137,116 – $141,116 Based on experience and qualifications

Life insurance fully paid by the employer for an amount equal to twice the employee’s annual salary

Long Term Disability Insurance
Long term disability fully paid by the employer.

Dental insurance is fully paid by the employer for family coverage

Sick Leave
14 days per year cumulative to 254 days

Tuition Reimbursement
50% tuition for up to 9 credits per fiscal year for pre-approved coursework
