Spectrum is a public charter school serving over 900 students in grades 6-12 located in Elk River, MN since 2006. Spectrum has a solid reputation in the community as a high quality college preparatory school.

The digital technology teaching position is a full-time position teaching 6th grade tech and coding and 8th grade digital tech.

Spectrum emphasizes technology for its students to ensure they are well prepare to utilize technology tools for their academic success. The 6th grade tech and coding course helps students to be proficient at using some of the Google and Microsoft applications. The 8th grade technology course was developed with the use of curriculum provided by the Minnesota State IT Center of Excellence and www.Code.org. It covers office productivity skills, trends & impacts of computing, digital media, algorithms & programming, web design & development, animations, and game design.

A current Minnesota teaching licensure is required. Licensure can be in math, language arts, computer programming, or a related field. Non-licensed candidates interested in a career in teaching would also be considered.
