This is a year round position.
This position is open for bid and all qualified job seekers simultaneously. The vacancy will be filled with eligible bidders of this agency who are in Customer Service Specialist classification first. Job Summary
This position exists to provide quality, professional, confidential, student services, receptionist, and various support services to the Perpich Center for Arts Education with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, strong planning, organizational, customer service, and communication skills. This position is PCAE’s first contact with the public, students, parents, local businesses, government, etc. The position exists to assist in the performance of duties and to assist with the day-to-day functions of the student services offices; performs receptionist duties for the operation of the Perpich Center High School. A high level of customer service and confidentiality is required in performing the duties of this position. Organizational skills are utilized in detailed record-keeping and data collection
Minimum Qualifications
- Customer service skills practices and principles sufficient to identify each customer’s (parent and student) needs, and meet quality standards for services that result in customer (parent and student) satisfaction over the phone, in person and via email.
- Math: Knowledge sufficient to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers, maintain complete and accurate financial records and balance and resolve discrepancies, and collect payments, count money, and complete transactions for customers (Parents and Students).
- Word Processing/Spreadsheets and Database Management: Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, and other software publications to create, format, edit, print, and save a variety of documents, including spreadsheets, tables, charts, and basic principles, practices, and techniques of database management. Software may include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.
- Data entry performance: Knowledge of current data entry procedures, including file and storage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Perpich Center for Arts Education academic programs, policies, and procedures sufficient to answer diverse questions and/or refer customers to appropriate assistance and commitment to the values of education for all individuals.
- Organization skills are sufficient to perform detailed record-keeping and data collection.
- Ability to multitask and organize information (with multiple interruptions) as it is received and prioritize tasks to be completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- The ability to maintain the confidentiality of private information according to law, rules, policies, and procedures is essential.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
