Description
The Fergus Falls Public School District is seeking to fill part-time cleaning custodian positions. These positions are year round (12 months/year). Work hours: 2:30 pm-6:30 pm or 6-10 pm.
Wage: $19.47-$20.12/hour based on experience. Benefits package includes life insurance; 403b contribution; long-term disability insurance; retirement benefits through the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA); and sick/personal/vacation leave.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Good physical condition with ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
3. Demonstrated math, organizational and cleaning skills
4. Human relation skills
5. Neat and clean appearance.
6. Valid Drivers License
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Keep building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean at all times.
2. Shovel and sand sidewalks, as needed.
3. Check daily to ensure that all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working properly during the hours of building occupancy.
5. Vacuum/sweep/damp mop classrooms daily and dust furniture or as directed.
6. Clean corridors after school each day, and during the day when their condition requires it.
7. Scrub, hose down, and disinfect toilet floors daily, and clean all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains.
8. Wash windows on outside doors.
9. Wash windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year, and more frequently if necessary.
10. Keep the grounds free from rubbish.
11. Keep all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.
12. Clean marker boards.
13. Make minor building repairs as requested (including changing light bulbs as needed).
14. Report major repairs promptly to the building head custodian.
15. Report immediately to the principal any damage to school property.
16. Move furniture or equipment as required for various activities and as directed by the principal or building head custodian.
17. Participate in in-service training programs and keep up-to date with “Employee Right to Know” program
18. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
