NOTICE OF OPENING
CUSTODIAN , NON LICENSED, NIGHT

The Night Custodian will assist the Maintenance Operations Coordinator in maintaining the physical school plant and grounds in a condition of operating excellence in order to provide quality education and a safe environment for all staff and students.

POSITION:
 
 Custodian, Non Licensed – Night 

LOCATION: 
 
 Oak Point Elementary

RATE OF PAY:

 $21.85/hr* + $0.60 (night differential)

* Custodians have the opportunity to receive additional 7% increase in pay if they currently have, or have the ability to obtain, any of the following combinations of licensures:

  • Boiler’s license + School Bus Driver’s Endorsement
  • Boiler’s License + Pesticide License
  • Boiler’s License + Certified Pool Operators License

Tuition reimbursement may be available for those wishing to study for a license.  

HOURS PER DAY:
 
 8 hours/day, 5 days/week

START AND END TIMES
 
 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • One year custodial experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret standard operating instructions and understand labels.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple sources.
  • Ability to communicate with faculty and staff.
  • Ability to meet the public & communicate with    students.

TESTING REQUIRED:
All job offers from Eden Prairie Schools are conditioned upon passing a pre-employment criminal background check and ISD 272 School Board approval.  Offers for these positions will also be conditioned upon passing a pre-employment physical abilities test.
