Full-Time Middle School Custodian

Detroit Lakes Public Schools is seeking an individual to fill a full-time custodial position.
Â
Job Summary:
Provides custodial support for the School District in order to provide clean, safe and healthy environment for students, staff and visitors.Â
- cleans, washes, dusts, polishes, scrubs, strips, seals, waxes, buffs, vacuums, sweeps and mops the building facility, furniture and equipment.
- stocks & maintains custodial areas.
- conducts cleanup of bodily fluids.
- position involves lifting of up to 50 lbs. climbing of ladders, repetitive motion in performing tasks, etc.
- performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Education:Â High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience:Â Previous custodial building maintenance and outside grounds experience is desired.
Special Knowledge, Skills, Certificates, Licensure Required:Â
- Special class or greater Minnesota boilers license required prior to probationary period ending.
- Minnesota class D or greater driver’s license may be required.
- General knowledge in building electrical, plumbing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems is desired.
Pay Rate: Â $20.90Â per hour (differential pay of $1.00 included)
