Description:  Assistant Kitchen Manager (6.5 Hours/Day).

Job Summary: 

  • Conduct majority of preparation responsibilities.
  • Manage work load, routines, and schedules of kitchen staff.
  • Provide high level of customer service to students, families, and staff.
  • Engage in a variety of duties in a school cafeteria.
  • Light prep and serving.
  • Dishwashing.
  • Cashiering and clean up.
  • Assist the kitchen manager as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to monitor and maintain appropriate inventories for planned menus (breakfast and a la carte)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information required.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal language skills.
  • Prior food service experience in quantity cooking and food preparation preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible work environment.
  • Position involves lifting, twisting, and turning.
  • A positive attitude is essential.
