Responsibilities:
- Assist the Production Supervisor and/or the Assistant Production Supervisor at a specific kitchen in a fast-paced team environment.
- Oversee and train staff to maintain a steady work flow of operations to ensure that all meals are prepared, cooked, and served in accordance with standardized recipes and guideline compliance.
- Ensure food safety standards for preparation, storage, and serving of food are maintained.
- Maintain inventory and production records.
- Cook and prepare student meals as needed.
Qualifications:
- School food service and culinary experience is strongly preferred.
- Food Protection Manager License is preferred but must be obtained once hired
- SNA Level 2 certification required and Level 3 certification must be attained in a timely manner.
- Customer service skills are essential to this position.
- Ability to work with others as a team is required as teamwork is crucial to the efficiency of the kitchens.
- Computer experience is preferred.
