Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Instructional Technology, implement district-wide communications and marketing activities that create and maintain a favorable image for School District 192. Primary responsibilities include: writing, electronic and print communications, communicate with media regarding district initiatives as directed, project management, and leadership support for assigned communications programs and activities.
Position to begin mid October through approximately February 6, 2025
8 hours per day/40 hours per week
$20.63-$23.20/hour depending on education and experienceÂ
Qualifications:
AA or BA degree in communications, marketing or journalism.
Prior work experience in area of marketing or communications.Â
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; familiarity with AP Style.
Familiarity with a variety of communication platforms (print, Web, social media, video, etc.).
Proficient in the use of current technology required for the performance of duties, including desktop, Microsoft Office, and digital photography.
Proficient in social networking tools and comfortable using the Web to communicate ideas and generate dialogues.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of audiences (e.g. parents, general public, staff, and outside agencies).
