Choir Teacher – High School – Part-Time (.5 FTE)
Rush City High School has a part-time (.5 FTE) position available for a Choir Teacher beginning the 2024-2025 school year. Rush City High School serves around 400 students in grades 7-12.
This position will serve high school students from 7th grade to 12th grade.
- Junior High Choir: 7th & 8th Grade
- Concert Choir: 9th-12th Grade
- Lessons
The Choir Instructor will:
- Teach choral and music curriculum based on state and national standards
- Promote the Choir program and encourage participation for all students
- Create engaging lessons and class activities
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Music Education, Music Studies, Choral or related field
- Minnesota teaching license (grades 5-12 or 7-12), or ability to obtain a license with a 4-year degree
Jazz Concert Choir
- Optional group directed by the choir teacher. This group meets and practices outside the teacher’s normal contract.
- Compensation follows the C schedule in the master teacher's contract.
