Description
Educates and nurtures elementary students in a Chinese immersion environment following Yinghua Academy’s mission, core values, and principles. Follows curriculum pacing charts and lesson plans; delivers direct instruction to students and develops students’ fullest acquisition of knowledge, skills, and appreciation for all core subjects. Prepares and regularly submits curriculum pacing and lesson plans. Conducts student assessments in various forms. Works collaboratively with Director of Chinese Instruction and grade level team members to plan lessons and share academic resources. Attends grade-level academic events as scheduled. Communicates with students the expectations for academic performance, classroom behavior, and personal management. Maintains effective communication in English with parents in a timely fashion; keeps classroom webpage up-to-date.
Holds a valid MN teaching license in Elementary Education or K-12 Chinese, or has the ability to obtain a MN teaching license. Demonstrated ability to meet the school’s standards for Chinese and English language proficiency. Will use technology as a learning and instructional tool. Classroom instruction will be conducted in Mandarin Chinese.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in education, teacher preparation or related field and fluency in Mandarin Chinese.

Must hold a valid Minnesota teaching license in Elementary Education or K-12 Chinese, or has the ability to obtain qualifying MN Teacher’s License. Demonstrated ability to meet the school’s standards for Chinese and English language proficiency.
