About Becker District/School: 

Becker School District is conveniently located off of US Hwy 10, just 20 minutes SE from St. Cloud and 45 minutes NW from the Twin Cities. The District consists of four buildings, all situated on a single, cohesive campus and serves approximately 2,800 students – Primary School (K-2), Intermediate School (3-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12). Becker’s mission is to develop self-directed learners to thrive in a changing global community. 

Position Details:

Seeking a dedicated and dynamic Chemistry/Physics teacher to join our team at Becker High School. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, possess strong leadership skills, have a deep commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high quality Minnesota Academic Standards-based lessons to High School students.

Collaborate with colleagues to carry out Multi-tiered System of Supports.

Maintain accurate records of students’ grades and attendance.

Participate fully in mentoring and instructional coaching programs, align and deepen curriculum, and improve pedagogy.

Practice and carry out rules and procedures as defined by the Becker Area School District.

Participate in staff in-service, staff meetings, department work, committee work, conference nights, etc.

Communicate in a positive way to develop rapport with learners and treat them with respect.

Qualifications: 

Hold or be eligible to obtain a Minnesota teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.

Possess a high level of organizational and communication skills.

Knowledgeable computer user; familiarity with Student Information Systems.

Solid classroom management skills based on current research practices.

Willingness to be involved in other aspects of the Becker Public Schools culture and community.

Team Player and team-oriented thinker.

Special Requirements/Licensure to Perform Job:

The course load includes sections of college in the schools chemistry and physics.
