Description

The Brooklyn Center Community School (BCCS) District is seeking a TEMPORARY Check In – Check Out / Intervention Support Staff. BCCS is looking for positive, energetic applicants with a deep belief that all students can learn, and having the commitment and passion to provide these learning opportunities. The Check In – Check Out / Intervention Support Staff will be responsible for following up on student assistance team requests and ensurin that the appropraite intervention is being met. The Check In – Check Out / Intervention Support Staff will work closely with building leadership and the restorative practice team at Brooklyn Center Elementary STEAM.

Duties will include – 

  • Providing students with the interventions written in the SAT (student assistance team) plan
    • Sensory breaks 
    • Social stories 
    • Restorative circles 
    • Specific interventions, such as check in / check out
  • Supervising and providing guidance to students in common spaces 
  • Collaborating with building leadership to make decisions grounded in our front and center agreements of love, joy, engagement, and justice
  • Collaborating with restorative practice team to ensure our work is grounded in restorative justice frameworks 
  • Collaborating and co-leading SAT (student assistance team) 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Pay and Benefits: Competitive Pay and Benefits based on the contract
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred.
