Job Summary:

  1. Building supervision and security engagement.
  2. Respond effectively and respectfully to people of diverse backgrounds. 
  3. Collaborate and communicate with administration, office staff, School Resource Officer as needed to maintain secure building entrance.
  4. After school student supervision and building security.
  5. Respond to varied dynamic, urgent incidents and make critical decisions in a timely manner with limited supervision.
  6. Must be able to frequently lift 25-50 lbs.
  7. Monitor student parking lot and make accurate records related to student parking.
  8. Evening supervision opportunities may be available for additional compensation 
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1.  Professional and excellent communication skills, verbal and non-verbal.
  2.  Accurate, strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  3.  Ability to observe confidentiality requirements.
  4.  Strong interpersonal skills in building rapport with students, staff and public.
  5.  Effective team skills; ability to work in a high energy, fast paced environment and time management.
  6.  Skills in problem solving, conflict resolution and critical thinking.
  7.  Demonstrated success with (and/or willingness and ability to learn) the use of technology to support office functions including skills with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Infinite Campus, security camera software and LobbyGuard.
  8. High school diploma, some college preferred
  9. Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
     

Compensation / Benefits: 
Non-Licensed Specialist – Salary is $28,554 (2024-25 school year), based on 171 days @ 8 hrs./day
