Description:  Bus Mechanic/Bus Driver/Groundskeeper

Job Summary:  Primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of school buses and other equipment; some bus driving duties and building maintenance/custodial duties as well.  This position is a 12-month position, 8 hours per day.  Starting wage for this position ranges from $25-30.00 per hour depending on experience; Competitive benefit package would include vacation pay, sick leave, paid holidays, Health Insurance benefits for either single or family plan, life insurance, 403(b) and PERA retirement plan.

Qualifications:  Must either possess a Bus Driver endorsement on driver’s license, or have the ability to get the endorsement.  The School District would assist the person hired to attain this if needed.  Preferred candidate would have some knowledge and background with Diesel engines and be adept in mechanical procedures.   Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. or more.

Working Conditions:  This position would require a fair amount of work in the outside elements; some snow removal in the winter months and groundskeeping work in the summer months.
