POSITION LOCATION: Southwest West Central Service Cooperative (SWWC) with placement at The READY Clinic – Cosmos, MN.
Â
POSITION SUMMARY: Practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and is responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior reduction plans developed by the BCBA. The behavior therapist provides assistance to children and families in providing an appropriate, safe learning environment to clients enrolled in early intervention programs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Â Interacts with clients according to their Individual Treatment (ITP) and/or Behavior Intervention Plan; observes and intervenes to redirect inappropriate behavior; implements and monitors skill acquisition plans, behavior intervention and reduction plans; implements skill acquisition teaching procedures such as discrete trial teaching, naturalistic teaching procedures, and task analyzed chaining procedures; implements contingencies of reinforcement, discrimination training, stimulus control transfer procedures, stimulus fading procedures, prompt and prompt fading procedures, generalization and maintenance procedures; implements interventions based on modification of antecedents; implements data collection procedures; provides training for parents and families; develops objective, data-based progress/session notes; assists with individualized assessment procedures including functional assessment; implements approved de-escalation and crisis/emergency procedures according to protocol; assists individual clients as needed with skill development in dressing, eating, toileting, and other daily living skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Â
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and high school diploma or GED is required;
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Child Development or a related field preferred;
- Relevant experience working with the ASD population also preferred, but not required.

CONTRACT/SALARY: 260-day, full-time position. Position starts at $18.15/hour, up to $25.86/hour dependent upon education, qualifications, and experience. Excellent benefits.
